We have launched Virtual Programming to help families get through the COVID-19 pandemic. Joanna reads stories from her personal selections, including some all time family favourites.

Joanna can’t resist sharing another Dr. Seuss book. In this video watch and listen to the fun rhyming verse about the ups and downs of life, persevering and finding success within ourselves! At this time of year, when children, young adults and the young at heart are preparing to graduate from kindergarten, grade 8, high school or university/college this is a happy message to encourage and inspire. “Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!”

The Blizzard’s Robe

In this story time video, Joanna shares “The Blizzard’s Robe” by American author and artist Robert Sabuda. In this magical tale, meet Teune (pr. “tune”) of the People Who Fear the Winter Night from the Arctic North. On My Own

In this video Joanna shares the story of an independent little monkey named Mungo. This charming story is written by Jillian Harker and illustrated by Louise Gardner. Follow Mungo and his mother through the wilds of the jungle and see what adventure unfolds when Mungo wants to do things “On My Own”.

Horton Hatches the Egg

In this video, Joanna reads the classic Dr. Seuss story of a very faithful elephant named Horton. Imagine, an elephant hatching an egg?! Where is the mother bird? Can Horton withstand the teasing of the other animals? Stay tuned and see.

Hercules

This time Joanna reads the Disney’s Storybook Collection “Hercules.” In this story, inspired by the hero of Greek Mythology, meet mighty Hercules as he wrestles a Hydra, rides a winged horse and has to deal with the tricky God of the Underworld Hades. Franklin’s School Play

Joanna comes to you today with the story a young turtle named Franklin. He is supposed to play the part of the Nutcracker Prince in his class play, but Franklin has a problem…he has stage fright!
