Brant Family and Children’s Services Foundation
The Brant FACS Foundation was established to provide additional funds in support of the children who are in the care of Brant Family and Children’s Services or children who are unable to ever return home. Funding is also used to support programs, services and activities that fall outside of the Brant FACS funding criteria, but that are known to reduce the risks of child abuse and/or neglect, and improve outcomes for family, children and youth that work with Brant Family and Children’s Services.
It is impossible to determine a ‘finite end date’ of parenting responsibilities based on a child’s age. The Foundation assists youth with Crown Ward status and those with former Crown Ward status to further their post-secondary education.
The Brant FACS Foundation also believes that the saying ‘it takes a village to raise a child and keep children safe’ has many applications. Funds are therefore also provided to many children who are referred from the community to help them attend summer camp each year.
100% of the funds donated to the Foundation are applied directly to the programs that it supports.
